MAFS: Viewers hit out at ‘toxic’ bride Susie
Forget Ines. There’s a new “villain” shacking up in the MAFS apartment block — and viewers are furious about her behaviour.
Just one week after the stunning exit of Married At First Sight’s most controversial bride ever, Ines Basic, it appears another “villain” has stepped up to fill the hole she left.
Susie Bradley entered the experiment as an “intruder” last Monday — paired with Billy Vincent — and immediately copped backlash over her brutal attitude towards him.

The Brisbane-based nurse, 25, even criticised her personal trainer “husband” for being “too small” and “not a man”, and admitted his affection made her feel “uncomfortable and awkward” — even prompting relationship expert John Aiken to call her out on her behaviour.
“It’s a problem that you don’t know how you’re contributing to this issue,” he said.
“Let me give you some feedback. Do you think you’re better than Billy? Because you talk as though you do see yourself as being better than him. Here’s what it sounds like: ‘You’re not a man, you’ve got no balls, use your big boy voice’. That is contempt that you’re from a level above talking down to him … cruel put-downs, eye-rolling, that’s contempt. That’s what you do. What I’m seeing in front of me needs to be called out.”

Many viewers also pointed out Susie’s behaviour echoed the insensitive attitude displayed on screen by Ines, who became the least popular MAFS bride in the show’s history thanks to her verbal abuse of “husband” Bronson Norrish and sneaky “affair” with Sam Ball behind his back.
But after just a few episodes, Susie is well on her way to attracting just as much negative attention.

But Susie insists she’s been the victim of bad editing and is nowhere near as bad as she appears on TV.
“I’m not as bad as people think I am,” she told the Courier Mail.
“Viewers are seeing about 7 per cent of 100 per cent of mine and Billy’s time, and they are forming their opinions on that, and that’s not enough to form an opinion on … so cut me some slack.”
Meanwhile, it seems as if — unsurprisingly — the “marriage” between Susie and Billy will prove to be short-lived. Last week, photos surfaced of Susie cuddling up to controversial former NRL player Todd Carney outside a Brisbane hotel the morning after Valentine’s Day.
Married At First Sight continues 7.30pm tonight on Nine.
