MAFS fans suspicious of ‘virgin’ groom Matt

We all cheered when adult virgin Matt finally consummated his marriage on MAFS. But now the dust is settled, a theory has emerged.

Celebrations rang out across the country last night as more than a million people tuned in to find out if Married At First Sight’s much-hyped virgin groom would finally lose his V-plates.

As he stood in a vineyard “the morning after”, 29-year-old Matt proudly announced he and “bride” Lauren had sealed the deal.

The triumphant moment wasn’t without drama, with Matt making himself so nervous about it on their honeymoon that he became physically ill and required a trip to the ER.

But soon enough, the “newlyweds” managed to overcome the nerves and consummate their relationship.

Guys. It happened.

Thankfully, it means Nine will probably have to stop referring to the groom as “virgin Matt” — but plenty of viewers are already feeling suspicious about the regularly repeated title.

The burning question: Was Matt really a virgin?
