Speaking to 9 Honey, the former stripper turned entrepreneur admitted that he regretted his words — but that he’d been pushed to the brink by Ines.

“She made me feel that bad about myself and I was not happy and I just snapped,” Bronson, said. “How many times can you be kicked when you’re down and not retaliate?”

He added that he “probably could have dealt with it a lot better”.

“In a usual situation you just pack your bags and leave, but that isn’t what the experiment is about. The experiment is about giving marriage a go, so I wanted to push through with it.”

During last night’s shocking episode, Bronson explained to the experts that he’d struggled to deal with Ines’ “Jekyll and Hyde” personality.

After describing one decent night of conversation that they’d shared, he said: “The next morning, the hulk came out. Straight back to being a c**t.”

In response to the shocked faces around the room, Bronson quickly clarified: “I’m not calling her a c**t. I’m saying she acts like a c**t.”

Mel Schilling was quick to cut him down to size.

“When you use language like that in relation to a woman, how do you expect her to respond to you? A tip from me to you: Don’t use language like that if you want any chance of a relationship with a woman,” she told him.

However, the rest of Australia didn’t seem to agree with Schilling, instead firmly standing with Bronson and praising him for standing up for himself.

Married At First Sight continues tonight at 7.30pm on Nine.
