MAFS bride debuts transformation: ‘You look so different’

A bride on this year’s Married At First Sight has unveiled her dramatic transformation, with fans in awe over how “different” she looks.

Married At First Sight Australia bride Caitlin McConville has debuted her dramatic post-show transformation.

The Gold Coast make-up artist, 27, earned a legion of fans during her stint on the Channel 9 show earlier this year for how gracefully she handled herself amid poor treatment from her ‘husband’ Shannon Adams.

Months after exploding onto TV screens, the reality star has had a self-confessed “level up”, taking to Instagram with her makeover, which has seen her dye her bleach blonde hair black.

Fans flooded the comments section, telling Caitlin she looked “so different”.

MAFS viewers said Caitlin looks "so different" compared to her time on the show.

“Wow. You look A: very beautiful and B: so very different as a brunette!” one wrote.

“Loving the new look,” another added.

“OMG you look AMAZING dark. Love it,” a third said, with another writing, “wow new look!”

Caitlin debuted black hair after previously being bleach blonde.

It comes after Caitlin suffered a tumultuous time on MAFS, with her TV ‘husband’ Shannon becoming one of the most trolled people in the show’s history.

In the infamous ranking challenge, in which participants have to rank their partner against fellow MAFS contestants from hottest to least hottest, Shannon placed Caitlin second – before realising he made a mistake and moving her even lower.

Shannon justified the move by saying, “I haven’t seen these girls without make-up … but I have seen you without make-up. You have potential to level up.”

He would later tell Caitlin he was “still in love” with his ex-girlfriend of seven years, with whom he shared a child.

At their last commitment ceremony together, which came a few short weeks into the experiment, Caitlin chose to leave the show, delivering a defiant speech about how she deserved better.
