‘Hot-tempered’ brother Rhyce returns to MAFS

Viral sensation Rhyce Power has returned to MAFS to confront sister Jessika’s husband Mick during a tense family dinner.

Jessika Power’s brother Rhyce has returned to Married At First Sight after viewers swooned over his good looks during an earlier episode.

Rhyce became a viral sensation after appearing during Jessika’s “wedding” to farmer Mick Gould earlier this season.

On Monday night’s episode, Rhyce returned to the Channel 9 reality show alongside father Troy Power to meet Jessika and Mick for a family meal at their Sydney apartment.

The reunion got off to a shaky start with Mick admitting that he had badmouthed Rhyce and Troy to Jessika, calling her dad a “drunk” and her brother a “f*ckhead”.

While a furious Troy swore and threatened to leave the dinner after finding out about Mick’s comments, Rhyce had a different reaction.

“I did get a little too drunk at the wedding,” he admitted.

“Oh yeah, like I said that was first impressions and my impressions have changed since talking to Jess and everything like,” Mick replied.

“Yes I probably did have a few too many beers, but I was nervous as sh*t, mate,” Troy added. “And I’m sure your father, like a lot of people, was nervous.”

Rhyce’s fame has skyrocketed since he appeared on the show

Speaking afterwards, Rhyce said the dinner had been difficult to sit through for him and his father.

“Me and my dad are very hot-tempered, people, it took a lot for us to just sit there and take it as it is but I’m glad for everyone’s sake at the table that we did,” he told producers.

Despite only making a brief appearance on the show earlier this year the tradie’s social media following skyrocketed, with Rhyce now boasting more than 62,000 Instagram followers.

But along with his internet fame came multiple allegations Rhyce had been violent towards his ex-girlfriends.

Rhyce denied any wrongdoing but confirmed a Violence Restraining Order was taken out against him by one ex-girlfriend in Western Australia last year.

Married At First Sight continues Tuesday 7.30pm on Nine.
