‘Horrible humans’: Fans slam MAFS stars

Fans have hit out at a wife and husband on MAFS, saying they are “vile” and shouldn’t be on our screens after their latest acts.

Fans have hit out at a wife and husband on Married At First Sight, saying they are “horrible humans”.

While they haven’t been strangers to criticism on the show, Tayla, the bratty bride who was matched with Hugo; and Harrison, the gaslighting groom who was matched with Bronte, became the source of even fiercer condemnation on social media following Wednesday night’s show.

Some even suggested the judges should have paired them together if they wanted a better match.

Sadly, it looks like Tayla and Hugo are heading for splitsville following the horrific way she treated him prior to – and during – the dinner party, while Harrison and Bronte are also deep in couple disaster.

As an example of how badly things are going between Tayla and Hugo, this is how he learnt the news that his wife had left the experiment.

As the couples gathered together for the dinner party, Claire pulled Hugo aside and showed him her phone, while informing him: “I received a message from Tayla.”

“She just wrote, ‘Hey Claire. Everything got so hard with Hugo acting like he did. I feel so overwhelmed. I went back to Tassie yesterday morning.”

Hugo was absolutely shocked.

He was left even more stunned when she walked in midway through the dinner party.

They talked, and she ended up blaming him for their woes: “I’m going to choose to not grill you on everything. I could sit here all night”.

“What does she mean, grill him?” expert John wondered, baffled.

“There’s not been one thing you’ve done through this entire time together that made me think that you did genuinely want to make this work,” Tayla said, confusing everyone.

“You completely shut me out. And you really let me down. You know, just as a person, you let me down.

“But, I will give this a go … Everyone deserves a second chance if their heart is in the right place.”

“I don’t understand … I don’t know how to feel,” he said.

Then, he shut it all down.

“We individually we’re both great people,” he said. “You’re one of the strongest fiercest people I’ve ever met. You’re going to be absolutely awesome when you find the person that you connect with, but, like, we both know that that’s not me and that’s OK.”

“ … I think it’s time for me Tayla to call this relationship quits.”

Meanwhile, Bronte had been dumped by Harrison prior to the dinner party, and things got even more heated when other wives believed he was putting on a show of crocodile tears at the table, especially after he turned the attention to Claire and Jesse’s relationship.

Melinda told Harrison: “I’m calling you out on your bulls**t because it is bulls**t.”

Evelyn agreed: “I’m going to agree with that also from what I was told at the start of the experiment you guys worked well. At the flick of the switch everything was great and then now it’s all about a show.”

Harrison responded: “Yes because Melinda made a comment at the couple’s retreat and I’m going to be honest it did strike a nerve. And I think, I can see the same thing with Jesse, he knows in his gut something isn’t right.”

Evelyn wasn’t thrilled: “Harrison stop trying to turn it on someone else, it’s so obvious what you’re doing right now, you’re deflecting it on Claire and Jesse.”

Melinda said to the camera: “Harrison is fake, this is the performance that’s been going all year and here is his worst act …”

She then told him at the table: “I feel like I just got handed these tickets to this performance and I’m just wondering where I can get a refund.”

He hit back with: “From what I’ve heard about you behind closed doors you sound like a living nightmare”.

Fans were simply appalled at the actions of both Tayla and Harrison.
