Fans applaud brutal MAFS commitment ceremony takedowns

Harsh truths have been levelled at some of the MAFS grooms by the experts, leaving other contestants shocked and viewers cheering.

There were some harsh truths levelled at some of the contestants during the first commitment ceremony of the season on Sunday night’s Married At First Sight.

And viewers were absolutely thrilled that the bad behaviour of grooms including Harrison and Shannon was finally being called out.

Things got particularly heated when Harrison and Bronte came before the experts to talk about how he was seeing another woman.

“I was seeing someone … I didn’t know that she’d develop feelings,” he said. “I never said I wanted a relationship with her. My belief is she has developed feelings and was hopeful-”

Later, during Caitlin and Shannon’s time on the couch, things got even more tense.

Shannon was talking about his feelings for his ex, who he had been seeing close to entering the experiment.

A debate between expert John Aiken and Harrison then erupted when Harrison decided to make a comment about the timing of the previous relationship being fine.

“Bulls***, I made that commitment the moment I walked down the aisle,” Harrison said.

“From where we’re sitting if we had know that you were already seeing people outside of the experiment you would not be here,” John said.

“And the fact that you can’t see this Harrison is a big problem.”

Fans applauded the judge’s take-downs of the grooms, believing it was about time they were put in their places about the way they entered their marriages.
