Mama June’s weight loss looks just as amazing in real life

PHOTOGRAPHERS snapped the reality star mum of Honey Boo Boo at her home. The pics show off seriously her impressive weight loss.

MAMA June is no longer hiding her impressive body transformation. She has now been spied arriving at her home for the first time since her big reveal.

The 37-year-old (mother of reality star Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Shannon) invited cameras to document her recent weight loss – reportedly losing close to 136kgs in less than a year, The Sun reports.

The mother-of-four, who’s now down to a US size 4, went under the knife in pursuit of a “revenge body” after her marriage to Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson collapsed and he moved on to a new wife named Jennifer Lamb in February.

But now June “Mama June” Shannon looks unrecognisable following surgeries including a tummy tuck, breast reduction, and operations to remove fat and skin from her arms and neck.

The star had been in hiding in recent weeks as her weight loss documentary series, Mama June: From Not To Hot, started airing in February.

Friday night saw the star’s incredible transformation complete on screens – allowing the reality star to now break her self-imposed home confinement to end.

June had been locking herself away from the public to ensure her TV transformation was aired to maximum impact.

She had previously explained she did not wear a fat suit to hide her weight loss – but her daughter Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Shannon had revealed June had gone out in disguise when leaving the house in recent weeks.

“It’s been really hard for her, because my mama is not just a person who can stay in the house,” Alana told People magazine, explaining how her mother went into hiding at the start of the year.

“My mama is very outgoing and stubborn. So when she’s like, ‘Let’s go to the grocery store,’ we’re like, ‘You can’t, because you have to stay in hiding, you know’,” she said.

“And then she’s just like, ‘No, I have to go out, I’ll just put on big clothes and they will never see me,’” the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star continued.

“The craziest disguise that she’s done, she went out with this big jacket on, glasses, a hat, and a scarf. She went overboard,” she said.

June was therefore beaming as she arrived home on Sunday as she arrived at her family home in Georgia wearing a maroon top and leggings – and proving she is maintaining her reduced figure.

“I definitely did not wear a fat suit,” she told radio host Domenick Nati in March when asked if she had gone to great lengths to keep her new body secret – adding it was a seven month process of surgeries to get her weight down.

“This journey has been going on since May of last year. My last surgery was in December,” she said – going on to reveal she paid for all the surgery herself.

“I had to pay, just like everybody else,” she said – saying neither the broadcasting channel WeTV nor production company Thinkfactory Media helped with costs because: “[The surgery] was going to happen whether I had them or not.”
