Kardashian sisters warn their brother Rob over his ‘flashy’ posts of Rolex watches and cash
THE Kardashian family are still recovering from Kim’s harrowing robbery in October with the family taking huge steps to cull their social media boasting.
WHEN it comes to social media, no family, let alone celebrity, holds a candle to the Kardashian-Jenner clan.
The reality stars are notorious for posting anything and everything about their luxurious lives on social media but it’s the family’s flashy, unobtainable type posts that turned them into a multi-million dollar brand.
That was, until October last year, when Kim Kardashian was held at gunpoint and terrifyingly robbed of almost $A10 million worth of jewellery, including a ring worth close to $6 million.
After Kim’s harrowing robbery, the family were shocked back to reality — revamping their security and significantly dialling back their social media ‘boasting’.
On the most recent episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim and her mum Kris speak to the family as they all meet up for a dinner at Kourtney’s, E! reports.
It’s Kourtney who they turn their attention to first with Kris suggesting her daughter should tint the massive windows that line the front of her house.
“I would worry about someone walking down the street and looking in here,” Kris said.
“It’s a security measure,” she added.
Then, it was Rob Kardashian’s turn for a grilling.
“You cannot post pictures of all those Rolex watches,” Kris told her son.
“[You need to stop] all the flashiness on, like, Instagram and all of that,” Kim agreed.
“We don’t really think like that,” Rob said.
“I’m just saying, just for your safety. It scares me,” Kim explained.
Kim’s fear for her family stems from her belief that the Paris robbery came about because of what she’d been posting on social media.
On an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the reality star admitted she thinks she was targeted.
“What I think happened now after like thinking about it so much is that there was probably a group of guys that were following us the entire trip,” she said.
“I was Snapchatting that I was home and that everyone was going out,” she recounted.
“So I think they knew [bodyguard Pascal Duvier] was out with Kourtney and that I was there by myself.”
Kim’s October robbery hasn’t been the only security scare the family have had in the past few months.
Kendall Jenner, Kim’s half sister, recently testified against a man who stalked the model for months and chased her up her driveway.
Last week, Jenner also reported more than $200,000 worth of jewellery missing from her house.
Despite Kim’s warnings, the family are still guilty of the occasional showboating.
