Jock Zonfrillo expresses his huge concern for Minoli’s dish during the elimination

Only just making her way back into the MasterChef competition, Minoli’s elimination cook has Jock incredibly worried.

Following yesterday’s Team Challenge in Apollo Bay, the MasterChef contestants head inland to Daylesford to Dairy Flat Farm, owned by MasterChef favourite Alla Wolf-Tasker.

A pioneer of regional fine dining in Australia and owner of the renowned Lakehouse Restaurant, Alla stresses the importance of provenance and fresh produce, pointing out all of the fresh produce used at the Lakehouse is grown at Dairy Flat Farm in the numerous greenhouses and hothouses, as well as the sprawling garden beds and orchard.

After finding themselves in the two bottom teams yesterday, Sabina, Minoli, Linda and Amir now face an Elimination cook, so the pressure is on.

Mel tells them their challenge today is took a vegetarian dish using ingredients picked straight from Alla’s garden. They’ll have access to a small pantry containing local ingredients, and with 75 minutes on the clock and everything on the line, the four contestants venture out into the garden.

Unfortunately for Minoli, who just earned her way back into the competition, things aren’t looking good.

In fact, judge Jock Zonfrillo is incredibly worried for her, telling her to “be careful”.

When Alla and Jock hear about Minoli’s dish, Jock exclaims “I’m confused”.

Alla says, “You’re approaching this in a completely different way aren’t you?”

Jock expresses his concern, and says “We’ve really drummed into you to play to your strengths. I think you’re taking a bit of a risk today. You’re wearing a black apron today. Someone’s going home. Just be careful.”. Minoli second guesses her choices, saying “I’ve just come back”, and hoping she doesn’t get eliminated.
