James Weir recaps Big Brother VIP 2021 episode 2
Some very graphic details about one of Shane Warne’s particularly racy sexts have been revealed on TV. James Weir recaps.
Channel 7’s hot new show Celebrity Trash Talk continues to serve up scandal on Tuesday night with the discussion of an experience most Aussies will tick off their bucket list before they die: receiving X-rated DMs from Warnie.
The Big Brother VIP producers are working tirelessly to cram as many celebrity confessions into each episode as possible. They’re like spruikers in the car park of a discount electrical appliance store, desperately trying to get our attention with their cut-price wares.
“We’ve got toxic anecdotes! Insults! X-rated DMs from sporting legends who should know better! Score a two-for-one-deal with some Meghan Markle gossip and a Bill Clinton revelation at no extra cost! It’s aBsoLUtE MaDNeSs!”

Big Brother VIP is basically SAS: Australia with Ikea furniture. There’s challenges and games, but the sole purpose of the program is to get celebrities spilling their guts and blowing open their DM inboxes.
“I had Shane Warne in my inbox the other week,” former Married At First Sight contestant Jessika Power shares with her fellow celebrities. “Shane Warne, mate, he’s a freak. Some of the things he was sending me … inappropriate.
“I replied a little bit to him and then he just got real X-rated. No wonder he gets into trouble all the time – you don’t write that over a text message if you have a (famous) name.”
It says a lot when even a former MAFS contestant who was embroiled in a cheating scandal reckons your behaviour is inappropriate.
In the vast and complex landscape of Australian reality TV, there’s one thing that unites most contestants: X-rated DMs from Shane Warne. It’s like a really bogan version of six degrees of separation.
Want proof?
“Just between us, he’s done it to me too,” Ellie Gonsalves reveals. “He’s literally tried to DM me and invite me out – I just got no time for that.”
Need more?
“He DMed me back in the day when I was with Kyle (Sandilands),” Imogen Anthony admits.
We should compile all of Warnie’s X-rated DMs and publish them in a really sophisticated coffee table book.
Jessika’s not done exposing super freak Warnie.
“He messaged me three or four times,” she shares. “ … He goes, ‘Can I say hi?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, of course you can say hi, I don’t bite’. And he goes, ‘What if I ask you to?’”
And, in extra detail that no one asked for, Jessika then adds: “(He said) Something to do with being naked and facing a wall and on knees. Very graphic, a bit X-rated.”
Wow. That’s a beautiful story. One to tell the grandkids. They can pass it down through the generations.
Someone who would’ve been very familiar with the ol’ DM inbox if it was around in the ‘90s is former US president Bill Clinton.
“I knew about Monica (Lewinsky) and this one and the other one – there wasn’t just Monica, there was a whole line of women,” former White House staffer Omarosa reveals, referencing the Lewinsky scandal that brought down the president.
Between all the party stories being thrown around tonight, this Clinton anecdote almost goes unnoticed. It’s merely the free gift with purchase. Warnie’s sex texts are the big ticket item followed by Meghan Markle’s weird half-brother, who’s still serving up his Greatest Hits.
“Dad doesn’t approve of him,” Thomas Markle Jr says about his father’s feelings towards Prince Harry. “My dad says he couldn’t even protect those chickens in their backyard if he needed to. (Dad) cherishes Meghan, he worships her. She won’t even pick up the phone and call my father.”
Thomas Markle Jr is nothing but reasonable and level-headed. He’s constantly proving to us that it’s clearly Meghan who’s the villain here.
“I may say bad things about her, I may write horrible letters to people — but the end result is I do love my sister,” he says. “Coming on Big Brother … I wanna reach out and show a different side of me. Maybe spark a little interest and maybe she will call.”
Thomas Markle Jr, you’ll be spammed with an X-rated DM from Warnie sooner than you’ll be receiving a phone call from Meghan.
