Simone Holznagel won’t be fat-shamed by anyone in the fashion world

I’M A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here contestant Simone Holznagel is calling out the fashion industry and its unrealistic expectations of models and their weight.

I'm a Celeb: Simone opens up on the pressures of the modelling industry

SIMONE Holznagel has shared shocking details of a time she was 19-years-old and an international modelling agency rejected her because of her weight.

Tonight on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! the model who competed on Foxtel show Australia’s Next Top Model in 2011, calls out the unrealistic expectations put on models about their appearance.

Comedian, Fiona O’Laughlin, AFL star Josh Gibson and Holznagel were chatting, when the Guess model disclosed a nasty experience she had when she went to an agency a few years back.

“I went in the room and she said ‘Can you lift up your top?”

When she did, the lady said to her “You look good but you have a lot of baby fat around your face. Maybe you lose some weight,” the blonde beauty imitated, putting on her best European accent.

Shockingly the modelling agents suggestion for effective weight loss was to “Just drink one can of Coca-Cola and have an apple a day.”

The model said there is a lot of pressure, as a model, to look a certain way all the time, “Which is difficult.”

She then recounted a later run in with the same agent in Los Angeles. This time she said “Well you look great now, but I think maybe you should lose some more weight.”

To which Holznagel replied “Well that’s f***ing funny because I just shot my first Guess campaign and everyone loves me.”

I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! airs Sunday to Thursday nights at 7.30pm on Channel 10.
