I’M A Celebrity host Chris Brown has revealed Anthony Mundine quit the jungle after a “disagreement” with his boxing rival.

I'm a Celeb: Anthony Mundine's emotional farwell

ANTHONY Mundine has said he quit I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! less than two weeks in because he misses his family, but host Chris Brown claims the boxer had a row with his rival Danny Green.

Mundine, 42, walked from the show within hours of completing the famed Viper Room challenge alongside his fighting foe, where the pair were buried with snakes.

“He was down there (buried) with his old adversary Danny Green and we thought it might bring the two of them together, but in fact it appears to have torn them apart,” Brown told Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa this morning.

“We thought he had taken it (the challenge) in his stride but they’ve gone back to camp, he’s had a disagreement with Danny Green and walked out of camp.

“In typical Mundine style he has stormed out.”

The episode will air tonight.

Mundine played it cool when he took to social media hours after leaving the jungle camp, sharing the hash tag ‘itsallgravybaby’.

“I miss my family and feel like I have accomplished everything I wanted to do,” he wrote.

“I did all but one of the trials (which I couldn’t complete because of my foot).

‘Went out with a bang on an epic trial that you will see tonight.”

Mundine’s exit will air tonight.

Mundine was one of the most controversial contestants on the show that began on January 28 which involved nine other celebrities making their way into the jungle camp for up to six weeks, competing in various challenges to win the title and $100,000 prize money for their chosen charity.

While there has been no walkouts on the three previous seasons, Mundine’s departure follows tennis player Bernard Tomic’s exit after just three nights in the jungle.

Tensions have been high in the camp since Mundine’s fierce boxing rival, Danny Green, entered as an intruder earlier this week.

“Viper Room seemed to push both Danny Green and Anthony Mundine to their limits,” I’m A Celebrity co-host Chris Brown told News Corp.

“The expectation was that that trial would bring them closer together but it seems it may have been the straw that broke the man’s back.”

Brown was genuinely shocked at Mundine’s departure.

“He’s been our camp leader and been thrown into all of our tucker trials and seemingly handling it very well but the man is the man and the man does things his own way,” Brown explained.

“I guess this shows you that every single day is as dramatic as the last.

“This is our fourth year of the show and we’ve never had anyone walk out before.

“We’ve had many celebrities who are not elite sportsmen last the full six weeks.

“This show is designed to be the toughest challenge in Australian television and it is seemingly living up to that with Mundine and Tomic out within the first week and a half.”

Mundine’s charity was the indigenous Community Volunteers (ICV).

Nine celebrities remain in the jungle — Tiffany, Kerry Armstrong, Simone Holtznagel, Peter Rowsthorn, Jackie Gillies, Fiona O’Loughlin, Josh Gibson, Shannon Noll and Green.

Viewer voting to save, or keep celebrities in the jungle, remains open for the other campmates.

Before going into the jungle, Mundine told News Corp: “You are going to get the real Anthony Mundine. The Anthony Mundine you hear about and you’ve heard about as far as perception and the media or whatever, that ain’t me, you are going to see the real me.”
