The remaining I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here contestants had a candid conversation about cosmetic procedures like Botox and filler, in scenes aired during Thursday night’s episode.

And perhaps surprisingly, it was older campmates like actress Debra Lawrance, 66, and sporting great Liz Ellis, 50, who said they’d never tried Botox – while the youngest I’m A Celeb cast member, 25-year-old boxer Harry Garside, revealed he’s a regular Botox user.

The conversation was sparked when former Home And Away actress Lawrance noted how relaxed she’d become about appearing on TV with no make-up since entering camp.

Debra Lawrance said she’s embracing the freedom that comes with ageing.

“In my profession, you have to be aware of how you look … but since getting older, this is who you get. I’ve loved making the transition into looking older. When your face starts collapsing and your chin goes … it was difficult at first,” she said.

Ellis said she had enjoyed embracing her hair going grey, calling it one less thing to worry about.

“I’ve got friends who have [Botox] and I think: You’re gorgeous, it’s such a waste of money,” she said.

Garside confessed he gets Botox in his forehead, calling it an “anti-ageing” measure.

“Oh, you’re so young, honey!” Lawrance said.

“I think the world we live in now is breeding more and more insecurity,” Garside said. “That’s probably the reason why I got it, to be completely honest. I want to try and remain young for as long as possible.”

And Garside also confessed there was a downside to his Botox injections: Posing for publicity photos before going into the jungle, the photographer asked him to give some angry reaction shots. There was one problem: “Um … I can’t move my forehead.”

Reality star Aesha Scott, 29, revealed that she got her first Botox injections just three months ago to try to soften what she called the “Wi-Fi signal” lines on her forehead.

“I hated it. It’s only just almost back to normal now. I felt like I lost my personality,” she said.

Former MAFS star Domenica Calarco said she’s a big fan of procedures like Botox and filler.

“If I can inject a bit of Botox here and there, or put a bit of plump in my lips, I’m going to do it. It makes my life better; it makes me happier,” she said.

AFL legend Adam Cooney said he could “think of better things to spend $300 on”.

“I’d rather buy a nice bottle of wine,” Ellis said. “It depends what your priorities are … I’d rather drink.”

Elsewhere in Thursday’s episode, Nick “Honey Badger” Cummins was the fourth contestant to be voted out of the show – a shock to many viewers, considering his status as a fan favourite.

Cummins had provided one of this season’s most gruesome moments last week, when he copped a brutal bite from an angry snake during a particularly intense challenge.
