I’m A Celeb 2018: Fiona O’Loghlin and Peter Rowsthorn roast fellow contestants

AMID the drama of high profile walk-outs and boxing rivalry, comedians Fiona O’Loghlin and Peter Rowsthorn have become the quiet achievers of this year’s season of I’m A Celeb.

The hilarious pair - who go by their newly-invented alter egos, Ron and Brenda, when talking to each other - have a keen sense of the ridiculous and spend much of their time on the show making each other - and viewers - laugh.

Their antics on tonight’s episode were perhaps their funniest yet, as they teamed up to give verdicts on their campmates that ranged from affectionate to savage.

One of the more brutal verdicts was saved for Real Housewife and celebrity psychic Jackie Gillies - the pair gave Gillies such a shady description that her husband, silverchair drummer Ben Gillies, slammed the pair as “jaded and bitter” on social media tonight.

Here’s what Peter and Fiona - sorry, Ron and Brenda - really think of the B-listers they’re being forced to live with for the next few weeks:

Jackie Gillies

“At the end of the day, she’s about helping the ordinary people, with her shine. The ordinary people who have $500 to spare to hire her for half an hour to tell them to shine.”

Josh Gibson

“Amazing day [today]. He put at shirt on. He’s actually got a shirt! I didn’t know.”

Danny Green

“He will shadow box anything,” they said, as we saw footage of Green punching a shrub.

“Some of the leaves fall off the trees in fright. He’s got hands the size of a decent size cow patty.

Kerry Armstrong

“I love showbiz, and hanging around Kerry is like a gold mine,” said Rowsthorn, tongue in cheek, as we saw a compilation of Armstrong’s frequent name-dropping around camp about her celeb friends: “Clint Eastwood. Gary Sweet. Julia Gillard. Tim Robbins - he dated me,” she boasted.

Simone Holtznagel

“She’s a lovely girl. She’s the sweetest girl. Such an angelic face…. And her mouth is like a filthy, dirty sailor man. Straight from the Gong she is, straight from Wollongong.”

Shannon Noll

“When it comes to Aussie, country people know how to turn it on. I think that Shannon Noll has gone up a notch. He’s got his southern cross tattoo right above the heart. He drags on the Australian flag board shorts, mostly worn on Australia Day, but he goes 365 in those days. He’s so Aussie. He’s a meat pie wrapped in a Holden car. He’s a meat pie wrapped in a Holden car dipped in Vegemite… with flies all over it.”
