Dylan and Jenny’s The Block home sells four months after auction

The property sold to a couple who had no idea the incredible five-bedroom home had been built on a season of the renovation show.

The Block stars living out of a caravan after dismal auction results

The last of the houses built during the latest season of The Block has finally sold almost four months after the heartbreaking final episode.

The 18th season of the Australian reality television series titled “Tree Change” was filmed in the Macedon Ranges, Victoria – the first time the series had been filmed in a regional location.

Contestants Dylan Adams and Jenny Heath were devastated when their home failed to make reserve and was passed in at the highly anticipated November auction.

TCC Real Estate agent Kirrilly Evans said it was a “positive outcome” for the couple after the house sold for an undisclosed amount on Monday.

The five-hectare Gisborne property sold under private treaty to a “lovely family” who were new to the area and reportedly “fell in love” with the house.

“They fell in love the minute they walked through,” Ms Evans told the NCA NewsWire.

The home, just an hour’s drive from Melbourne CBD, features a massive walk-in wardrobe, pool and a large garden including bee hives.

Incredibly, Ms Evans said the family had no idea the property’s construction had been featured on the latest season of the national renovation show.

The five-bedroom home built at 225 McGeorge Rd was one of two properties that did not sell at auction – the other being Ankur and Sharon’s at house No. 3 that sold a week later.

Dylan and Jenny, known as the tradie couple on the show, were heartbroken when the house fell short of the reserve price of $4.08m by just $5000.

‘’I’m pissed off,’’ Jenny told 9 Entertainment at the time.

‘’I know (the houses) are worth $6m, but people don’t have that kind of money at the moment,’’ she said.

The couple passed the property in and it has been on the market for more than three months.

After the disappointing finale episode, Dylan and Jenny returned to the Gold Coast to finish off a property they had built together under their company Smooth Sailing Designs.

The couple have yet to post about the exciting news, probably because they are too busy preparing for their wedding in just over a month’s time.

Jenny posted photos to her 16,700 followers over the weekend of her dressed in two shimmering white cocktail dresses in theme for her hen’s weekend with friends.

The Block series winners Omar and Oz took home a massive $1.58m for their build and $100,000 in prizemoney.
