Rumours suggesting that Bondi vet Chris Brown would be joining the show have been denied by network sources, as Brown is currently in Africa fulfilling his commitments for Ten‘s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

However, according to a recent report from the Daily Telegraph, it appears that the turnaround time is too tight for him to participate in Dancing With The Stars.

Similarly, Seven presenter Sam Armytage, who recently returned to the network and was promoted to the helm of Farmer Wants a Wife, will not be participating in the dance show despite having been linked to it since her departure from Sunrise two years ago.

In the 2011 series of Dancing With The Stars, Armytage made it to week nine, despite consistently low scores and criticism from judge Todd McKenney.

Sports reader Matt Shirvington is also not joining the cast, although his athletic form would make him a prime candidate, and Seven typically includes its own talent and sports stars in the show.

Sydney viewers can expect to see some unfamiliar AFL stars and possibly a retired rugby league player to even up the codes.

The network has remained silent on the upcoming lineup.
