Contestant leaves judges in tears after leaving the competition

In a teaser for what’s to come in the season, one contestant shocks everyone by deciding to leave the show for good.

There is still a lot more to come during this season of MasterChef, with the network teasing a huge preview of what viewers can expect in coming episodes.

The trailer shows contestants and judges travelling to the Northern Territory for a once in a lifetime dining experience as part of a challenge.

The contestants will cook dinner under the stars at the Field of Light in Uluru.

“It is absolutely breathtaking,” one contestant says during the preview clip.

Another part of the clip shows contestants faced with some of the hottest chillies on the planet.

In fact, they’re 60 times hotter than your everyday jalapeño.

Team challenges will be tougher and more intense than ever as the contestants get ready to battle brigades of chefs from Melbourne’s top restaurants.

“You’ll be competing against these guys,” Andy tells them.

And as you’d expect, the preview ends with a variety of mouth-watering meals that you just want to grab right off the screen.

However, one of the biggest moments shows an unnamed male contestant deciding to leave the competition in what appears to be a highly emotional scene.

“I can’t cook. I just have got nothing left,” they say.
