A little-known comedian has garnered a standing ovation and worldwide attention for her seriously hilarious set on Australia’s Got Talent.
A Sydney comedian has gone viral around the world after her hilarious set on Australia’s Got Talent.
He Huang, who auditioned for the Channel 7 reality series in an episode which premiered last Wednesday, received a standing ovation for her four-minute stand-up performance and has since gained thousands of supporters.
Fans flooded the comments section of the viral video on Twitter, which so far has 64,000 ‘likes’, as they praised the comic for her unassuming tone and self-deprecating humour.

The Chinese comedian began her set by introducing herself, saying, “Hello everyone my name is He. Spelt H, E. Yes it is my name not my pronoun.
“People get confused all the time. This cute bloke come up to me and said, ‘Yo, what’s your name?’ And I said, ‘He’. And he said, ‘Nice to meet you hoe.’ I was like, ‘Excuse me I am not a hoe, that’s my cousin.’”
He then shifted to her Chinese heritage, describing how single women over the age of 27 are dubbed “leftover ladies”.
“But I love leftovers,” she said.
“Come on, who doesn’t love Chinese leftovers? We are yummy and cheap. That’s my Tinder bio. Chinese leftover, yummy, just take me home and eat me.”

Finishing off her hysterical performance with the winning punchline, He said, “I don’t understand why people get married. Almost all of my married friends are miserable.’
“The other day I was chatting with a friend and she said, ‘I wish I hadn’t married. All the BS from my in-laws, my husband is lazy and my kid is a failure … I was like, ‘What the heck mum?’”
The judges were full of praise for He, with Kate Ritchie saying, “I just loved hearing you poke fun at yourself, I really warm to that kind of comedy.”
Elsewhere, Alesha Dixon said, “You are a riot. You blew the roof of this place, every joke was amazing. Female comedian smashing it on that stage, and I want more, more, more. Absolutely brilliant. I love you.”
Over on social media, one commenter wrote on the clip, “You absolute legend”, while another added, “I can watch this woman for two hours straight.”
A third said, “So good! I want more! Hopefully she makes it to produce her own show!” with another claiming, “MY GOD!!! SHE’S GENIUS!!!”
Her “brutal” jokes left people “rolling on the floor.”
Addressing her new-found popularity, He took to Twitter to thank viewers for their support.
“My friend asked me to check my Twitter. I thought he bought me this much of followers,” He wrote.
“Thanks for loving my jokes and I tweet once in a while like an old person. Comedy is a long-game and I will be working on my bits. Hopefully one day you will see me on TV again. Loves.”
