TV is always more exciting when Survivor is on, and thankfully it’s now on our horizon.

Shared exclusively with news.com.au, viewers can now get their very first look at the highly anticipated new season.

The promo shows the wide array of people who have been recruited for the show, from all walks of life.

In May, Channel 10 announced that the new season will feature a huge twist: Brains v Brawn.

This means that the castaways will be people who are incredibly brainy and outstanding in their own fields, versing the super buff athletes that are made for the hard physical challenges.

While it seems like the super fit have it all, it’s not just the challenges that are hard, and figuring out strategies will be where the brains excel.

In the promo, we see one of the “Brawn” team members, a woman named Dani, who works at a men’s maximum security prison.

“I work with the worst of the worst,” she says. “I deal with manipulation every single day.”

Her experience will surely have her prepped for whatever Survivor throws her way.

On the “Brains” side, we have George, a political operative.

“You’ve got to be willing to pull people’s strings. As a faceless man in the Labor Party, that’s what I’ll be doing,” he says.

“With a laserlike mental focus, this year’s cast will do what it takes to get their way,” Channel 10 said in a recent announcement.

“The smiling assassins who like to win, know keeping friends close and enemies closer is the only way to be the last one standing.”

Filming for the upcoming season of Australian Survivor commenced near the small town of Cloncurry in Queensland in May.

In February, it was announced that this season would be filmed somewhere local after Ten secured government funding to shoot closer to home, due to the global coronavirus pandemic.

Jonathan LaPaglia will return as the host.
