Every question we have about that chocolate bath on The Bachelor

LOTS of questions arose during the latest Bachelor date involving a chocolate bath. The first? Did they realise how unfortunate they looked smeared in brown matter?

THE Bachelor has gone where no date has gone before: a bath tub filled with chocolate in the middle of the wilderness.

It was weird and brought up a butt-load of questions.

On Thursday night’s episode, Alex scored another private date with Richie and he surprised her with a lesson in making chocolate from an official Lindt chef.

Later on, he took her to the middle of the woods where they came across a giant metal bath tub filled with 300 litres of chocolate. They stripped down and got in.

Watching on for the next 10 minutes, a lot of questions arose. This is everything we need to know from the producers.

1. Did you realise before the date how unfortunate Alex and Richie would look smeared in chocolate?

2. Earlier in the night, Richie and Alex cooked with Lindt. Did Lindt supply the bath chocolate? If so, is “chocolate bath” going to be available on the menu at select Lindt cafes?

“You’ve got a smudge ...”

3. Was it hot or cold or tempered?

4. What is “tempered chocolate”?

5. Was it pure chocolate? Or was it thinned out with some kind of oil or milk to give it that sheen?

6. Were Richie and Alex given the option to add toppings to the bath like at Cold Rock?

7. Were novelty products like a hazelnut bath bomb considered?

“Is that a Toblerone or are you just happy to see me?”

8. Was that metal bath tub cold to sit in?

10. Even though Richie and Alex were wearing boardies and bikini bottoms, I imagine melted chocolate would end up in rather annoying places. Was this uncomfortable and how long did it take to clean off/out?

11. Is it like glitter and do you find chocolate remnants on/in you days later?

12. During the rose ceremony, did anyone suggest Richie make a joke along the lines of: “Don’t throw the Alex out with the bath chocolate?”

13. Did anyone drink the chocolate from the bath tub afterwards?

14. What happened to the chocolate that remained in the bath tub when Alex and Richie were done? Will it be made into family-size blocks and sold on the Network Ten website?

15. Does Richie regret hoisting his legs up and sandwiching Alex’s face between his chocolatey thighs?
