NOVA’S Fitzy and Wippa have revealed the questions they’ve been banned from asking some of the world’s biggest stars.

FITZY and Wippa have revealed the questions they’ve been banned from asking when interviewing some of the world’s biggest stars.

The Nova radio hosts said “there’s a lot of guests” who have restrictions on what you’re allowed to ask them.

“When we had Nigella Lawson in the studio, she comes in and we’re given notes,” Wippa said on air this morning.

“Down the bottom in bold it said, ‘Don’t ask her about her breasts’. As if we’re going to bring her boobs up!”

Wippa also revealed that when the seemingly laid back Melissa McCarthy dropped into the studio recently for a chat they were instructed, “Don’t ask about Bridesmaids”.

According to Fitzy, several guests lately have politely requested not to be asked questions about the upcoming US election.

“The big one at the moment for American guests is don’t ask about Donald Trump,” he said.

“No one wants to give you a comment on Donald Trump.”

More often than not it’s the publicists and managers who decide what questions can and can’t be asked during an interview, with some even demanding that all questions be pre-approved by them.

“We developed a bit of a relationship with the One Direction boys where you could have a bit of a laugh,” Fitzy said.

“The last time we interviewed them, our questions were written on a sheet for us ... They had all their management and everyone around them and we sat down and I put the sheet down next to me. Everyone went into meltdown.”

One of Fitzy and Wippa’s producers, Sarah McGilvray, was yelled at behind the scenes by One Direction’s management when they realised Fitzy was planning to go off script.

“I was actually physically holding back people,” McGilvray said on air this morning, “because you didn’t place your question sheet down Fitzy, you looked me in the eye and tossed it across the room”.

When the Nova duo last interviewed Khloe Kardashian they were told they weren’t allowed to ask her about Caitlyn Jenner, despite the fact “it was like the only thing happening in Khloe’s life”.

But according to Wippa, the weirdest request came from the Black Eyed Peas.

“They said, ‘We really want to do something interesting for the interview. What do you guys want to do?’

“They said to Tommy (their executive producer), ‘We’ll do anything but Taboo (rapper) doesn’t want to go jetskiing.’

“When are we going to do an interview on a jetski?” Wippa said laughing, “I reckon you’re safe”.
