The Bachelor: Blake hangs up on Kyle and Jackie O after tell-all interview
BACHELOR Blake Garvey abruptly ended a radio interview this morning after Kyle pulled a stunt which clearly left him not impressed.
BACHELOR Blake Garvey has hung up on Kyle and Jackie O, abruptly ending their interview after he was put through to Sam’s voicemail and asked to leave her a message.
Garvey, who chatted with the Kiis FM pair this morning after his tell-all interview on The Project last night, was clearly not impressed when Kyle pulled the cruel stunt.
“No, I’m not going to do that out of respect,” he said, “I’m not going to do that, but thank you for your time,” he said before hanging up.

A surprised Jackie then felt sorry for him, saying: “What a way to end our interview with Blake. Poor Blake, you put him on the spot with that one.”
Garvey was grilled by the duo, who promised to ask him all the “real questions” that weren’t asked by Carrie Bickmore last night.
Kyle said he believed the pair had split because he found they had a “sexual incompatibility” after the series ended, but Blake was almost offended at the suggestion, quickly shutting the radio host down.
During the interview Blake also spoke about:
Why he broke it off before the series ended:
“I didn’t want to shut up and maybe go through this for a few months and just play along for the public and make everyone happy because that’s not being honest.”
Whether he thinks he let the wrong girl go:
“I don’t think you can really even think like that because then you second guess yourself, then I could say ‘was I even really meant to have gone on this show to begin with? Should I have stayed with an ex from years past?’ and all I can do is go ‘I made the best decision in the moment.’”
Whether he’s seen any of the other girls:
“The only person I’ve seen since filming has stopped is Sam. I’ve spoken to Lisa, Lisa said to Sam she’d like to have a chat to me and Sam said that’s OK.”
Whether we will see him in the near future with any of the other girls:
“That’s no where near what I’m trying to look at right now, I wouldn’t say that whatsoever. I’m still trying to recover from this crazy experience. As far as I know guys that’s not the plan. I just want to take time, but I’ve always had a never say never attitude.”
Why he proposed:
“It’s intense and at that very moment in time I thought absolutely I was doing the right thing.”
Why he let Jess go:
“For me I think I felt a particular way about Jess and I wanted her to feel that way as well but it wasn’t there and with Jess and I could just tell we were at different stages of our life. I’m almost 32 and she’s just starting uni and that was the hardest thing but you have to accept it.”
How his Mum felt:
“She’s sad, mum loves Sam to bits, they get on like a house on fire, but on the same note, she knows me, she knows I wouldn’t do anything unless I thought was being absolutely honest or upfront and staying true to that.
How he felt when she called him a “jackass”:
“She’s just hurting mate and that’s understandable.”
The breakup:
“It’s a difficult thing to deal with and it’s still being dealt with in a very public way.”
If he thinks Sam should she be the next Bachelorette:
“I think that would be great, I think Sam is probably too much of a catch, she won’t be single by then, but if that happens then I think all the best for her.”
On rumours he was forced into proposing:
“Not at all, they (the producers) were very respectful, you have the option if you want to go ahead with it, but there’s certainly no one standing there saying we’d really like this, this would make great TV.”
Whether he regrets going on the show:
“Not at all. I was disappointed with the outcome, absolutely. I think you can’t not be, but there’s no point dwelling on that.”
