Sophie Monk: ‘I slept in Saddam Hussein’s bed’

SOPHIE Monk has been in a couple of famous men’s bedrooms, and apparently that includes one belonging to a ruthless dictator.

SHE’S been in a couple of famous mens’ bedrooms, and now Sophie Monk’s revealed that she once slept in a ruthless dictator’s bed.

The Celebrity Apprentice winner told her Kiis FM Summer Fling co-host, “I slept in Saddam Hussein’s bed”.

It’s believed Monk visited one of Hussein’s former palaces when she travelled to Iraq in 2004 to entertain the troops.

“His shower is insane,” said Monk to Matty Acton on air this morning. “It’s got like a chandelier. It’s a bit gaudy though, but just diamonds everywhere.”

The former Bardot member also spoke about her near death experience on the trip.

“We went in this cargo plane and they said I could sit in the front,” she said.

“So I put my headphones on and I heard, ‘Missile! Missile!’ And the plane just dropped. I took my headphones off and I went, ‘I’m dying’.

“What I thought was, I should have spent my money on a boob job ... and I should have written my family a letter saying I love them.

“There was a guy up the top with a machinegun ... I was like, this is too real for me.”
