THE former Australian Idol alum made headlines in January for getting in a vicious brawl with police and strip club workers in Adelaide, but Shannon Noll is now slamming one of the only eye witness stories.

The singer, who appeared on Kyle and Jackie O ‘s KIIS FM show Monday morning to refute the claims of a witness who said he was trying to get back into the Adelaide strip club, Crazy Horse.

Despite being advised by his legal counsel to “not say much”, Noll did have a few things to say when Sandilands played him the recording of 19-year-old eye witness Alastair Longmuir.

“He got really aggressive and started being like ‘I’m Shannon Noll, let me into the Crazy Horse,’” Longmuir told AAP, also reporting the singer then punched a security guard before four police came and took him away.

“As he was thrown to the ground these strangers started singing What About Me to him,” he added.

The singer wasn’t too happy about Mr. Longmuir’s recollection of the night saying bluntly, “No mate I was actually leaving anyway and there was two policeman. So, if he’s an eye witness then he’s a pretty ordinary one.”

Noll has stayed extremely lighthearted about the incident, posting a photo of himself stuck in the Old Mount Gambier gaol earlier this month.

Noll also set up a ‘fake arrest’ on the weekend jokingly getting handcuffed and escorted off stage by two police officers.

The singer was finishing up a set at Sandstone Point in Queensland as part of the Red Hot Summer tour.

Fellow Australian Idol alum Guy Sebastian also joked about Noll’s arrest earlier this month posting a photo to his own Instagram being ‘handcuffed’ by Malaysian airport security.

Noll’s interview with the radio hosts came just two days after he missed his scheduled court hearing in Adelaide after being accused of allegedly assaulting the strip club bouncer.

“Mr Noll is not present,” defence lawyer Andrew Ey told the court. “Obviously he resides and works interstate. I ask your honour to excuse his non-attendance today.”

The court’s magistrate excused his absence but said Noll needed to be in person for his pre-trial conference in April.
