Nova host Tim Blackwell is expecting second baby with wife Monique
THERE’S a pregnancy boom at Nova radio. Which top-rating host is expecting bub No. 2?
THERE must be something in the water at Nova.
Kate Ritchie gave birth to first bub — a daughter Mae — this year, Fitzy & Wippa co-host Wippa’s wife is expecting their first baby in January and now drive co-host Tim Blackwell has revealed his wife is pregnant with the couple’s second baby in May.
“Look, us here at Nova we just drink room temperature purified Evian just like everybody else, so it’s probably that,” Blackwell said today.

GOOD NEWS: ‘Wippa’ and wife Lisa are expecting first baby
“I think Kate had the limelight for a few months so it’s time to take that way now and talk about my baby for a bit.”
The Kate, Tim and Marty co-host joked that Nova’s office was a “bit of a no kids zone” and a “place where we can all finally not talk about babies”.
“Our whole lives are consumed at home by kids and nappies and all that stuff, so it’s nice to have work as a bit of a retreat where we can all hang out with adults,” Blackwell said.
“The nice thing is we’re all at different stages. I know Marty (Sheargold) gave me a lot of advice when we were expecting our first.
“I tried to give Kate some advice when she was expecting her first.”
Blackwell and his wife, Monique, already have a daughter, Bo, who is two in January.
“There won’t be any birthday fights, so that’s good news,” Blackwell laughed.
“We have bought a book for her called Being a Big Sister. She’s working out what the words ‘big sister’ mean.
“She comes into work here a bit and has everyone wrapped around her little finger. She knows how to work a room already.”
Any pregnancy cravings? “Monique is a bit of a health nut. She does everything the exact, right way and makes me eat very well. If it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t have known all about kale and flaxseeds.”
