Marty Sheargold exposes Fifi Box’s drunken antics
Fifi Box hasn’t had a big night in more than two years, but according to her former co-host Marty Sheargold, she used to be pretty wild.
Marty Sheargold has lifted the lid on some of Fifi Box’s drunken antics.
The pair used to work together in the 2000s on Triple M show The Shebang and now they work in the same building in Melbourne where Marty hosts Triple M’s The Marty Sheargold Show and Fifi co-hosts Fox FM’s Fifi, Fev and Nick.
Fifi recently horrified her co-hosts when she revealed she hasn’t been out since the birth of her now two-year old daughter, Daisy.

To rectify that, they’ve challenged her to have an “all nighter” on the Gold Coast where she will party for 24 hours straight and back it up to broadcast their radio show the next day.
Her co-hosts, Nick Cody and Brendan Fevola, have never seen Fifi cut loose, so they invited her old co-host Marty onto their show to reveal just how wild she was back in the day.
“I tell you what Fi is, the worst drinker I’ve ever met in my life,” Marty said on Fox FM.
“We were doing a promotion for Cuervo Tequila in Brisbane,” he recalled. “Byron [Cooke] and I were there and I said, ‘Where’s Fifi, Byron?’ And then we looked over at the bar and Fifi was standing at the bar pashing the bloke from Cuervo who’d set the whole night up.”
“I don’t know how that happened,” Fifi said in response.
Fifi ended up getting so messy that she had to be driven home by Marty’s brother who was also at the function.
On another occasion, Marty said he and Fifi went to Hamilton Island together for a work function.
“Fifi got in trouble that trip because she was drunk and went for a swim … fully dressed,” Marty said. “The woman from the hotel came down and went, ‘Get out of the water! There’s box jellyfish in the water!’ But Fifi was like, ‘I’m fine.’”
And on another occasion, Marty explained that Fifi was meant to attend a radio station gig to watch him perform stand-up comedy.
But not long before the show was due to start, a staff member approached Marty and said, “There’s a bit of an issue with Fifi.”
“She said, ‘Oh, I’ve just been holding her hair back in the disabled toilets. She’s not going to make it to the gig,’” Marty recalled. “This wasn’t midnight, this was a quarter past seven!”
Marty told the Fox FM breakfast team that he’s doubtful Fifi will be able to last 24 hours partying when she has a crack at the challenge next week.
