Kyle Sandilands named the most influential man on FM radio

A LIST of the most influential men on FM radio has been released and Kyle Sandilands is sitting pretty at the top of the list. Who else made the list?

Kyle has been named the most influential man on radio a couple of weeks after Jackie O was named the most influential female on FM radio.

AT THE risk of inflating his ego even more, Kyle Sandilands has been named as the most influential man on FM radio.

The controversial KIIS FM host topped a list compiled by Radio Today, which made the rankings based on “market size, longevity, ratings success, uniqueness, star power and cut through”.

In second place on the list of most influential men on FM radio is Triple M’s Eddie McGuire, who is currently under fire for making sexist comments about female football writer Caroline Wilson.

And coming in joint third place is the Hit Network’s Hamish & Andy, who are rumoured to be walking away from their drive show once again at the end of the year.

1. Kyle Sandilands — Co-hosts The Kyle & Jackie O Show on KIIS FM which is currently the number one FM breakfast show in Sydney.

2. Eddie McGuire — Co-hosts Triple M’s Hot Breakfast with Mick Molloy and Luke Darcy which is currently the number one FM breakfast show in Melbourne.

3. Hamish and Andy — Broadcasting on the Hit Network, the golden duo host the number one FM national drive show.

4. Marty Sheargold — Co-host of Nova’s uber-popular Kate, Tim and Marty which has been in a close ratings battle with Hamish & Andy for the number one FM position.

5. Dave Hughes — Co-hosts Hughesy & Kate on KIIS FM in drivetime around the country.

6. Mick Molloy — Co-host’s Triple M’s Hot Breakfast.

7. Tim Blackwell — Co-host and anchor of Nova’s Kate, Tim and Marty.

8. Fitzy & Wippa — The loveable lads currently host the number two FM breakfast show in Sydney.

9. Brendan Jones — Co-hosts WSFM’s Jonesy & Amanda which is the third most popular FM breakfast show in Sydney.

10. Merrick Watts — Hosts Triple M’s Merrick and Australia around the country each afternoon.
