Kyle and Jackie O: The one stunt they’ve been banned from doing

KYLE and Jackie O have done some full-on stunts on radio over the years, but one idea of Kyle’s finally went too far.

KYLE and Jackie O are responsible for some of the most outrageous stunts to have been broadcast on Australian radio.

For example, there’s Naked Dating where they would get two strangers to take all their clothes off in front of each other in the studio before deciding if they’d like to catch up in the real world.

There was the time their show intern was tasked with telling Prince Harry about Jackie O’s faecal mishap (he was successful by the way) and of course there was the infamous Lie Detector stunt.

But there’s one stunt in particular that Kyle’s never been able to get over the line and it’s a doozy.

Speaking exclusively to news.com.au, Jackie O explained how Kyle and their army of KIIS FM producers came up with the zany idea.

“To put it in context, the other day we had a conversation about how I have been through IVF and I still have in storage, in the freezer, probably about 10 or 12 embryos,” Jackie O said.

“I said to the guys, ‘You know, I don’t think we’re going to have any more kids and I’m still paying every month for the storage. I have no idea what I’m going to do with them.’

“So of course, they had an idea. You know how we do those competitions where we say, ‘You get a car! You get a holiday!’ They wanted to give away my embryos. ‘You get a baby!’”

Kyle told news.com.au that he’s disappointed the “brilliant idea” will never make it to air.

“Apparently not allowed,” he said.

“Legal said no and Jackie said no ... All those parents who want a baby and Jackie’s sitting on all these refrigerated kids.”

Kyle and Jackie O defected from 2Day FM to KIIS FM at the end of 2013.

It’s partly due to these kinds of stunts that Kyle and Jackie O have dominated the FM breakfast ratings in Sydney for the better part of a decade.

But the stunts have also cost them respect within the radio industry, according to Jackie O.

“I’ve gone on forums before, radio forums, and there’s just so many people hating on us,” she told news.com.au.

“I think a lot of people just see the bad headlines and they just think, ‘they’re gutter trash’. We don’t just do stunts that make the papers. There’s a lot going on in the show … We try and balance it out. It’s not all smut.”

Jackie O has even banned Kyle from bringing up two certain “smutty” topics on air.

“We’re not allowed to talk about porn with Jackie,” Kyle revealed, “even though we do”.

The other topic that’s off-limits as far as Jackie O is concerned is her sex life with her husband, Lee.

“I brought up something once about our sex life, it was in the early days, and he was a bit horrified so I try to refrain from talking about that,” she said.

“I try bringing it up as often as possible because it gets her on the back foot,” added Kyle, who has also banned Jackie O from raising a certain topic on air.

“You’re not allowed to bring up any of the celebrities I’ve had sex with,” he said.

“If only I could tell you,” Jackie O told news.com.au. “You’d die!”
