Kiis FM host Jackie O turned on Kyle Sandilands after awkward interview with Cameron Diaz

JACKIE O had a crack at Kyle Sandilands on air after he asked two awkward questions during an interview with Cameron Diaz.

JACKIE O slammed her radio offsider Kyle Sandilands on air this morning after his awkward questions “ruined” an interview with Cameron Diaz.

Jason Segel and Diaz were on the Kiis FM breakfast show to promote their new movie, Sex Tape.

All was going well until Diaz compared child actor Giselle Eisenberg, who appears in Sex Tape, to her best friend Drew Barrymore who was also a child star. That’s when Sandilands made his first awkward comment.

Jackie O lashed out at Kyle Sandilands.

“Lets hope she (Eisenberg) misses out on the Drew Barrymore drug years because that was a great thing to watch but not so good to be in,” Sandilands said.

Diaz fired back, saying, “I’m sure you’ve never been through a drug phase Kyle have you or alcoholism?”

Sandilands made matters worse by responding with reference to Diaz’s new boyfriend Benji Madden.

“Hang on a second, now I’m friends with Benji (Madden) so I don’t know if he’s been talking out of school or not but I’ve told him to keep his mouth shut,” Sandilands said.

Cue awkward silence.

Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden don’t like to talk publicly about their relationship.

Not long after Diaz wrapped up the interview, telling the Kiis FM hosts ”we’re having to go now, sorry”.

After the interview, Jackie O immediately took aim at Sandilands, saying, “Well that started very well and ended poorly I think, good one Kyle”.

“You ruined that interview, sorry to be blunt,” Jackie O said.

“You brought up Drew Barrymore, her best friend’s drug addiction in the past. And then you brought up Benji and we all know how protective Cameron is about her private life.

“So the two things that probably would get her off-side, you went there.”

Never one to back down, Sandilands said, “Maybe they should have just bought ads if they want to sell the movie, I want to find out other things”.
