Joel Edgerton reluctantly accepts Hamish and Andy’s ‘highly inappropriate present’

AUSSIE actor Joel Edgerton was the unwitting subject of a social experiment conducted by the radio duo who wanted to see if he’d accept a $47,000 gift.

JOEL Edgerton couldn’t believe his eyes when Hamish and Andy gave him a $47,000 Rolex to thank him for coming into the studio for an interview.

Currently promoting his new movie The Gift, the Aussie actor was actually the unwitting subject of a social experiment with the radio duo keen to see whether or not he’d accept the “highly inappropriate present”.

“What the f**k is that?” said Edgerton when they gave him the watch after the interview had finished.

“Are you serious? You got me a fake Rolex?”

“No, that’s the real deal,” Hamish assured him, “We don’t have a lot of guests on the show this year and we want to make it special for them when they come on”.

“Holy f**king sh*t,” said Edgerton, who then tucked the present under his arm and left.

Social experiment = fail.

As Edgerton made his way to the radio station’s elevator, he was stopped by the show’s producer who was on the phone to Hamish and Andy back in the studio.

“Don’t let him leave Sammy, he’s got a $47,000 watch,” said Hamish to the producer, who then handed the phone to the actor.

“Yeah, you pranked me,” said Edgerton immediately.

“We just didn’t know if you’d take a $47,000 watch,” said Hamish, “Please don’t leave with it, it’s got like eight diamonds with it”.

Jokingly, the actor replied, “You know what I like about you guys, you’re not in the business of taking things back”.

“If you’re trying to distract us while you’ve kept walking, please don’t because there are two people from Rolex in here who have been assigned to guard the watch,” said Hamish.
