The Aussie pop singer was in a storytelling mood on 2Day FM with Dan and Maz this morning, and had a surprising fun fact for the radio duo.

Mauboy agreed to play a game called ‘Name Drop’ live on air and Snoop’s name was pulled out of the hat. The 25-year-old recalled the rapper walking into the studio while she was recording song Get ‘Em Girls with his good mate, music producer Bangladesh.

“He walks in and he’s pretty blazed at that point and blazing out the whole room.

“So I’m feeling a little bit weird and the whole situation just goes down and I think I go to sleep for a few minutes and then I wake up and he’s finished his rap. And I’m like, what just happened?

“And then I was hungry and then we went and got Roscoe’s chicken, waffles, maple syrup and chicken, fried chicken. It was pretty crazy.”

Jess Mauboy and Snoop had a little too much fun while recording Get ‘Em Girls in 2010.

Dan also asked Mauboy who she thinks should be the headline Eurovision act for Australia. “I was thinking of bringing the Young Diva’s back,” the Pop a Bottle singer answered.

“You have many personalities there, really strong personalities and why not? They look different.”

Young Divas was an Aussie girl group consisting of former Idol contestants Kate DeAraugo, Paulini, Ricki-Lee and Emily Williams. Mauboy joined the group in 2007 after Ricki-Lee parted ways to pursue her solo career.

Jessica Mauboy copped a fair amount of criticism for the clip to Get Em Girls.
