Jess Eva was temporarily ‘dumped’ by Norm Hogan
Jess Eva has revealed that her partner Norm Hogan temporarily ended their relationship after a spat in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Jess Eva has revealed that she was “dumped” by her partner of nearly 10 years during a booze-fuelled spat on the weekend.
Jess and her fiancee Norm Hogan were the fan favourites on last year’s series of The Block and kept viewers entertained with their hilarious couple antics.
But their relationship temporarily came to a screeching halt in the early hours of Sunday morning as they hosted drinks with friends at their house.
“Norm and I were having a discussion and he dumped me,” Jess, who co-hosts Triple M Sydney’s Moonman in the Morning, said today. “He told me it was over. He said that he couldn’t be with me anymore.”
The mother-of-two explained to co-hosts Lawrence Mooney, Gus Worland and Chris Page that she and Norm had knocked back a couple of drinks when they got into a verbal stoush.
“I think he broke up with me because I wasn’t doing what I was told,” Jess said. “We had a group of people around and I said, ‘You know what? I need a holiday. I’m desperate for a holiday.’
“Norm pipes in from the back, ‘No, you’re not!’ I said, ‘Excuse me?’ He said, ‘You’re not going on a holiday. We can’t afford it.’ I said, ‘Yes I am. We might not be able to afford it but I’m going.’”
Jess, who said on radio that she was “a bit hormonal” at the time, left the room and immediately booked a return flight to Bali for herself.
“I cracked it,” Jess recalled. “No one is telling me what to do.”

When she returned to the room, she overheard Norm telling his mate, “She’s not going to book it, I told her not to do it.”
“I said, ‘This itinerary shows me that I am,’ and I just put it in his face!” Jess told her Triple M co-hosts.
Norm felt “emasculated in front of all his friends” and told Jess that their relationship was over.
But the split didn’t last too long, Jess revealed.
“He forgave me the next morning,” she said. “We woke up and we were together, but in that moment we were over. The family had broken up because mumma wants a Bintang!”
