Jackie O reveals she caught Covid from daughter: ‘It’s rampant in schools’
An under-the-weather Jackie O has revealed on-air that she’d caught Covid from her daughter, telling listeners: “It’s rampant in schools.”
Radio host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson revealed on-air that she’s tested positive for Covid, and likely caught the virus from her daughter.
The star sounded noticabely croaky and under the weather as she joined The Kyle and Jackie O Show from 6am today, working from home rather than in the studio.
“I’m at home because I’ve finally tested positive for Covid. I’ve finally joined the Covid club,” she told listeners.
The announcement couldn’t pass by without an off-colour “joke” from controversial co-host Kyle Sandilands, who responded: “She’s positive for HIV everyone! Oh sorry, yes, Covid-positive, not HIV-positive.”

Jackie O described her symptoms as “somewhere between a cold and a flu” and said she most likely caught the virus from her 11-year-old daughter, telling listeners: “It’s rampant in schools.”
Jackie had been in the KIIS studios on Monday alongside Sandilands when he revealed on-air that his fiance Tegan Kynaston was pregnant. News.com.au understands Jackie tested positive after Monday.
Kyle, 50, brought his fiance into the studio on Monday to reveal that they were expecting their first child together.
“This is so exciting! I never thought I’d see the day when Kyle becomes a father,” said Jackie O – who also suggested that the pregnancy was “why you’ve started getting so emotional lately – everyone’s noticed”.
Sandilands made headlines earlier this month when he stormed out of the show at the start of an episode, after going on a fiery 12-minute rant about Australian media and politics.
The dummy spit came weeks after Sandilands proposed to Kynaston in an extravagant stunt during a Queensland holiday in mid-January.
