Jackie O reveals how ‘The Big Music Quiz’ producers gave her wine at 10am

JACKIE O has spilt the beans on what really goes on behind the scenes of Channel Seven’s Big Music Quiz. It’s a little more wild than you’d think.

JACKIE O has spilt the beans about what really goes on behind the scenes of Channel Seven’s Big Music Quiz.

The KIIS FM host was one of the stars who appeared on Sunday’s episode and revealed on radio this morning that producers gave her wine in a coffee mug because she wasn’t “getting into it as much as they would have liked”.

“I think they [Channel Seven] deliberately put my episode up against the [NRL] Grand Final because I feel like ours might have been the one they were disappointed with,” Jackie O said, before explaining what the filming process was like.

“They do two sessions a day so a lot of people have their session in the afternoon, ours was in the morning. You have to be on set at 9am and ... they’re telling us what it’s about and what we have to do.

“The producer addressed the group of celebrity contestants and said, ‘All the other guys have been having so much fun with this. Every time you guys get an answer right you have to get up and dance.’ And we were like, ‘Oh, dance at 9 o’clock in the morning, really?’ No one was really vibing on it,” Jackie O said.

The Big Music Quiz is hosted by Darren McMullen.

The radio host was joined on the show by stars including Anthony Albanese, Rachael Beck, Ella Hooper and Matthew Mitcham, but the producers weren’t impressed with the group’s enthusiasm.

“We weren’t really dancing like they wanted us to and they kept saying, ‘Come on guys, the other guys were having so much fun with it, just get up and dance’,” Jackie O said.

“You really felt forced to get up and dance.”

Kyle, who turned down an offer to appear on The Big Music Quiz, didn’t sound too impressed by the dancing element of the show.

“God what a bunch of losers,” he said, “whose stupid idea is this show?”

“It’s a fun show and it’s been rating really well,” Jackie O replied, “but yes, you can look sort of look like a dick I guess.”

So in order to liven things up, producers started serving the stars some liquid courage.

“I think they were getting a bit frustrated with us, we weren’t getting into it as much as they would have liked,” Jackie O said.

“So in between commercial breaks they would bring out coffee mugs with wine in it.”

“Are you sure you didn’t specially ask for that?” Kyle asked.

“Well they did ask us if we wanted it and most of them said yes,” Jackie O revealed.

“I wasn’t the only one, I think we needed it. We needed to pep ourselves up a bit.”

That explains some of those dance moves ...
