Hughesy cops punishment for losing fitness goal

DAVE “Hughesy” Hughes had big dreams of “springing into spring”. But instead, he waddled.

The comedian’s been talking for weeks on KIIS FM’s Hughesy & Kate drive show about shedding a stack of weight before the beginning of spring. The goal was to reach the weight he was in 2010 of 85kg.

But it seems winter wasn’t too kind to the 44-year-old and he’s missed his target. So of course he was punished by his co-host Kate Langbroek.

On Wednesday, Hughes was made hit the sand at Sydney’s Bondi Beach in some skimpy swimmers and a pig mask.

To make it even more humiliating, Langbroek also assembled a couple of familiar faces — The Biggest Loser trainer Tiffany Hall, Bondi Rescue’s “Hoppo” and The Bachelor’s Heather.

Hughesy was put through his paces by Hall before being made run along the famous sandy strip.

At the finish line, Langbroek lured him in with a bucket of fish and chips as a reward.

Probably not helpful for the fitness goals, but at least it took the sting out.
