CARRIE Bickmore is going to be one very busy woman in 2017.

The Project co-host has been announced as the host of a new national radio show on the Hit Network from 3-4pm each weekday.

The Gold Logie winner will be joined by comedian and Project regular, Tommy Little, who raved about his new radio buddy in a statement.

“She is the best. She’s caring, lovely and professional. I plan to be the opposite of those things. We’re going to have a lot of fun together!”

In the same statement, Bickmore said: “I love that immediate interaction you get with listeners and the unpredictability that comes with it. I am really looking forward to having some fun talking about the things I’m passionate about and find amusing.”

According to the Hit Network’s head of content, Gemma Fordham, the hour-long show will be broadcast live each day and will give Bickmore a chance to share stories from her personal life.

“Everyone knows what Carrie is like,” Fordham said to news.com.au.

“The thing about her is that she’s so real and she doesn’t necessarily have the opportunity to do personal stories on The Project so it will be an opportunity for her to dip her toe back in radio [Bickmore previously worked in radio for almost 10 years].

“She and I have been talking for months and we’ve crafted the show together. It’s exciting!”

The new show will launch on Monday, February 13.
