Britney’s ex Jason Alexander gives bizarre excuse for wild wedding stunt to Kyle and Jackie O

Jason Alexander has given a truly gobsmacking excuse for his wild break-in stunt at her house last year on the Kyle and Jackie O Show.

Britney Spears’ ex-husband Jason Alexander has claimed he was just trying to “check up” on the star when he bizarrely gatecrashed her wedding last year.

Alexander, 42 – a childhood friend of Spears – infamously tied the knot with the singer in Las Vegas in 2004, but the marriage was annulled just 55 hours later.

He made headlines again in 2022 when he was arrested for aggravated trespassing and battery after breaking into her California home on her wedding day to Sam Asghari and attempting to speak to her while posting a livestream on social media.

Alexander defended the strange stunt on the Kyle and Jackie O Show on Thursday, insisting that Spears had “reached out” to him back in 2020 and sparked a series of private conversations that “no one really knew about”.

“So when the conservatorship ended, I felt like because of the way the conversations were going with me and her, we’d be able to actually see each other for the first time since Vegas in person, besides just speaking over the phone,” he explained, adding he was “super surprised” to find out she was getting married.

Alexander then described how her property “wasn’t very hard to get into” as the Toxic singer had detailed a “hiking trail behind her house” near “an easy entrance” during their chats.

On the day she was set to say “I do” with Asghari at her home last year, he said he “was really just trying to see [Britney] and ask her if it was really what she wanted.”

On the disturbing footage uploaded to Alexander’s Instagram on the day, he was heard calling out to Spears without receiving a response, before being asked to leave and then apprehended by her security.

Meanwhile, the I’m A Slave 4 U singer finally revealed the real story behind her infamous Vegas wedding in her memoir, which was released this week.

In The Woman in Me, Spears revealed she and Alexander spontaneously decided to get married after getting “s**tfaced” in Sin City.

“I don’t even remember that night at all, but from what I’ve pieced together, he and I lounged around the hotel room and stayed up late watching movies … then had the brilliant idea of going to A Little White Chapel at three thirty in the morning,” she wrote.

Spears also confirmed they did it because they were simply “bored”, and not “in love”, as Alexander had previously claimed.

“People have asked me if I loved him. To be clear: he and I were not in love,” she explained.

“I was just honestly very drunk — and probably, in a more general sense at that time in my life, very bored.”
