BEC Judd has revealed the price she pays for her youthful skin but the process isn’t for the faint-hearted.

AS the old saying goes, beauty is pain and if you’re looking for someone to back that statement up, just ask Bec Judd.

The popular TV presenter, who co-hosts the Monday 3PM Pickup show on KIIS FM, turned up to record her radio show yesterday afternoon with a very different looking face.

Or, as her co-host Monty described it — a face that looked like it had “been blasted with a torch of fire”.

Late last week, Judd headed to her local skin centre Liberty Belle where her dermatologist gave her a “fraxel treatment” which uses laser to rejuvenate the skin.

The laser treatment can fix everything from sun spots to wrinkles and pigmentation and is currently taking the beauty world by storm.

The pricey treatment, which easily costs hundreds of dollars, is supposed to shave years off your face.

But, as Monty jokingly compared Judd’s face to one that had been blow-torched, the TV presenter horrifyingly replied, “That’s kind of what it felt like”.

Despite the dermatologist applying numbing cream to her face an hour before, Judd revealed the treatment isn’t for the faint-hearted.

“You can’t feel anything when you touch it with your fingers but then they kind of torch you with this laser, so you can feel it then,” she said.

Almost immediately after the treatment or the “torching” as Judd put it, the skin goes bright red and will peel away.

The extreme aftermath of the laser treatment means Judd will be going underground for the next week while her face recovers.

“I’m not doing any filming this week and you know that saying ‘You’ve got the face for radio’, that is me,” she laughed.

And despite Judd assuring her Instagram followers they definitely wouldn’t be getting a photo of her lasered face, she provided another image for comparison.

Specifically, the time Samantha got a chemical peel on Sex and the City.

And despite Judd’s extreme quest for youthful looking skin, she definitely isn’t the only Aussie celeb embracing some new-age beauty technology.

KIIS FM radio host Dave Hughes couldn’t believe his eyes earlier this month when his co-host Kate Langbroek showed him photos of her “vampire facial”.

Langbroek went to Regeneration Clinics for the bizarre beauty treatment which sees a doctor removing blood from your body and putting it on your face.

The host revealed that 20ml of her own blood was injected into her face and at one stage during the procedure Doctor Mikhail. the man who did the procedure on her, joked to Langbroek, “at this moment you look like roadkill”.
