Angus O’Loughlin slams Troye Sivan fan: ‘You have no idea about radio’
2DAYFM host Angus O’Loughlin has lashed out at a teenage fan on Twitter over a radio competition.
2DAYFM’s Angus O’Loughlin has lashed out at a teenage fan on Twitter, after she asked why her question was cut from a meet and greet segment with Troye Sivan.
The Hit 30 presenter labelled 16-year-old Laura “ungrateful” after she tweeted her disappointment at her time with the singer not making the final on-air edit.
“@TheHit30 you forgot a little someone’s question ... The little someone who’s sitting in her bed devastated,” she tweeted at the radio show.

The teenager was one of around 20 fans who were given the opportunity to meet Sivan and watch him perform as part of a competition.
After her tweet to the show, O’Loughlin snapped back: “We didn’t forget you. Your question didn’t make the final edit. You had the moment/experience people didn’t. Be grateful.”

When other fans got involved, the host fired up even more.
“Publicly shaming us for doing our jobs after we that event? (sic) Not everything needs to be online. Life is moments,” he wrote.

But superfan Laura apparently didn't want to heed O’Loughlin’s advice.
“It’s the fact that literally the greatest moment of my life was cut,” she tweeted back at him. “I feel like everyone’s questions should of (sic) been played.”
The teen then posted that she was about to cry, but the host wasn’t quite done.
“You don’t program a radio station or obviously have any idea about them. We pick the best bits for a wide audience.”
