Andy Lee nails a tap dance on stage with Hugh Jackman
HUGH Jackman could never be showed up by a backup dancer. Unless that backup dancer is Andy Lee.
HUGH Jackman could never be shown up by a backup dancer.
Unless that backup dancer is Andy Lee.
The Wolverine star was performing his Broadway To Oz show at Melbourne’s Rod Laver when he suddenly pulled the 2DayFM radio host out of the audience and up on the stage. The pair then performed a tap routine. And Andy kinda nailed it.
“Hamish managed to slip that your childhood dream was perhaps to sing and dance on the stage at some point in your life,” Jackman said to Andy.
“And we’ve got a stage, we’ve got a band, what do you reckon?”
“It doesn’t matter what I think because if the Wolverine asks you to tap, you f**king tap,” Andy joked.
While the moment was made to look impromptu, it was actually the result of three months hard work, including a private rehearsal with Jackman earlier this month.
But Andy couldn’t have all the glory. Hamish made an appearance in the routine, introducing himself onto the stage as “internationally famous percussionist, Hamish Blake”.
