Pick of the week: Housos
HOUSOS is a place where bumbags, parachute pants and carrying your ciggies in the sleeve of your T-shirt are considered high fashion.
YOU'VE probably seen the bumper sticker that says love is a German shepherd. In the world of Housos you'd be more likely to discover love is a lowered Commodore.
This is a place where bumbags, parachute pants and carrying your ciggies in the sleeve of your T-shirt are considered high fashion.
Housos is worth a look just to see how it takes political correctness by the scruff of the neck and drags it through the sewer, all the while shining a brutally comedic light on the real battlers and the marginalised of multicultural Australia.
The inhabitants of this largely employment-averse community, who swear like Gordon Ramsay and are experts in thumbing their nose at authority, must mobilise in this episode when they discover that the mayor (Amanda Keller) plans to rezone their suburb, Sunnyvale, and shove its proud residents to the "a--- end of nowhere".
