Netflix begs viewers to stop lusting after serial killer Ted Bundy
Netflix’s latest hit true crime doco The Ted Bundy Tapes is having an unfortunate side effect on some viewers.
Netflix have asked viewers of The Ted Bundy Tapes to stop swooning over the serial killer.
The streaming service sent out a tweet after being inundated with comments that many viewers are attracted to the killer.
Netflix sent out a tweet to its 5.65 million followers, which read: “I’ve seen a lot of talk about Ted Bundy’s alleged hotness and would like to gently remind everyone that there are literally THOUSANDS of hot men on the service — almost all of whom are not convicted serial murderers.”
The Tweet has received over 90,000 likes and 17,000 retweets.

Viewers were quick to comment, with one saying: “Anyone attracted to Ted Bundy needs to go for a walk outside,” and another responding: “They do know he’s been dead for like 30 yrs right?”.
Despite the tweet, viewers still seem to be attracted to the American serial killer, with one person writing: “Hate to say this but Ted Bundy was like kinda hot”, and another saying: “The fact I fancy Ted from the Ted Bundy tapes seriously concerns me.”
The streaming giant unveiled the doc two weeks ago, which features hours of previously unheard footage of the serial killer, on the 30th anniversary of his execution — warning: “Don’t watch it alone.”
Bundy confessed to killing 36 women and young girls in America in the 1970s, with the film using death row tapes, interviews and old footage to tell the chilling story.
