Holly Willoughby was forced to apologise on UK breakfast program This Morning after Jennifer Aniston swore during a live interview.

The Friends star used the phrase “sh*ts and giggles” during the chat to promote new Netflix comedy caper Murder Mystery 2, leaving co-host Phillip Schofield chuckling as Willoughby scrambled to apologise.

But Aniston, seemingly unaware the interview was live, casually said, “I’m sure you can bleep that,” as she spoke via video link from Paris, alongside co-star Adam Sandler, reports The Sun.

It came while the pair were being quizzed on the film’s stunts.

Sandler said: “Jennifer was scared to fall off the Eiffel Tower. They called ‘action’ and she didn’t jump and I just snuck up and pushed her. It was fun to see that reaction.”

Schofield responded: “I can imagine, someone pretending to push you off the Eiffel Tower. What fun!”

Aniston then said, “Just for sh*ts for giggles,” before clasping her hand over her mouth.

Willoughby immediately said: “Sorry about that.”

When Aniston then said they could bleep it out, Schofield said: “No, it’s live, but don’t worry, we love it.”

Sandler then joked: “At least you said giggles. There was happiness after it. Sorry everybody.”

Viewers called the moment the highlight of an otherwise awkward interview.

While both Hollywood stars were very cordial, some viewers said it seemed as if they didn’t really want to be doing the chat, questioning why the interview felt “so awkward”.

In the movie, Sandler and Aniston play hapless private detectives Nick and Audrey Spitz and face the biggest challenge of their short careers after their billionaire friend is abducted at his own wedding.

The morning show hosts praised the film, with Willoughby saying she watched it with two of her kids and praised it for appealing to the whole family.

Meanwhile Schofield branded it a “sugary” Glass Onion Agatha Christie hybrid, which appeared to please the A-listers.
