Sylvia Jeffreys smacks down 'wardrobe malfunction' criticism

SYLVIA Jeffreys addressed reports she suffered a “wardrobe malfunction” on The Today Show this morning, calling out an online news site which criticised her for the innocent mistake.

The 29-year-old’s bra became visible under a black turtleneck when she was photographed at an Ovarian Cancer Research Fund morning tea yesterday.

And online news site, The Daily Mail Australia, ran pictures of the 29-year-old saying she was well aware of the bra faux pas.

“I just want to clear up, in their report they said that I flashed a look of surprise when I realised what was going on,” the Today co-host said. “I had no idea what was going on. That’s just my weird resting face.”

Jeffreys explained the “malfunction” happened because she had no time to change her undergarment during a busy day.

“I was running between many commitments yesterday and didn’t have time obviously to change what was underneath every outfit.

“It wasn’t visible to the naked eye, it was just under the photographers’ flash that that was visible, so apologies for any offence caused but I wont make the same mistake twice.

Adding sarcastically: “Thank you Daily Mail for pointing that out.”

Jeffreys said she was happy to give the worthy cause more exposure.

Jeffreys added that she was glad that extra attention was able to be brought to the 10 Hours campaign for Ovarian Cancer Research.

Her co-host Karl Stefanovic also wasn’t afraid to criticise the online news site, which is run by the Nine Network’s parent company Nine Entertainment Co.

“Well it wouldn’t be like the Daily Mail to get it wrong, would it?” he said.

While Tim Gilbert added: ”No one was offended Sylvia. Not a human being was offended.”

Jeffreys had earlier taken to Twitter to address the report in her usual classy style.
