Ten Eyewitness News host Hugh Riminton revealed the regular fill-in host on the morning program has been embroiled in a cheating scandal which involved “corruption of a kind rarely seen”.

Belling was accused of rigging the program’s weekly $5 quiz last week after she was shown the answers by a producer before the segment went to air, giving her a clear advantage over her fellow competitors.

Studio 10 co-host Ita Buttrose called in to express her dismay over the controversy.

“I was shocked to discover Natarsha Belling had behaved so dishonourably,” Buttrose said during the mock segment. “I expected more from her.”

Belling crosses to Hugh Riminton unaware of what the “breaking news” is.

Guest host Peter Berner also walked out after Riminton declared her “a cheat”.

“You’ve got to draw the line somewhere, I refuse to work with you,” he said as he stormed off set, leaving his co-hosts in fits of laughter.

Belling’s response to the claims?

“I don’t know what to say. I actually deny these allegations,” she said.

The news comes after Belling revealed she was contacted by police for ‘stealing’ a tank of petrol in November 2013.
