Kourtney Kardashian’s bizarre interview on Today Extra

THE reality star pretended she couldn’t hear David Campbell and Sonia Kruger when they asked her a question about Kim Kardashian on Today Extra.

KOURTNEY Kardashian pretended she couldn’t hear Today Extra hosts David Campbell and Sonia Kruger when they asked her a question about Kim Kardashian during an awkward interview live on TV.

After covering several light topics with Kourtney, including her fitness regimen and giving birth, David Campbell raised the issue of Kim’s terrifying recent robbery in Paris.

“You should know that the people of Australia and of our show were very empathetic about what happened and very horrified,” he said.

“We were wondering, how is everyone going and how is Kim doing?”

Kourtney responded by saying "um ...” before looking off camera to someone behind the scenes.

“I’m sorry, is there someone talking to you?” David asked.

“Yeah, sorry,” Kourtney said, “they just came in”.

News.com.au understands that when the question was asked, Kourtney’s publicists signalled to her off camera not to answer the question.

Confusion followed as Kourtney sat blankly looking off camera, leaving the hosts to put an end to the awkward interview.

“Alright, it looks like Kourtney doesn’t really want to go there,” Sonia said.

“I think she’s blanking me,” David said, “She’s totally blanking me on that question”.

David Campbell was not impressed.

“She could just say her sister’s fine?” David continued. “We just said that we’re very concerned and we were on side and we hope that everyone’s fine, which I still do.”

News.com.au understands that Kourtney defied her publicists during the ad break and told them that she was willing to come back on the show and answer the question.

Sure enough, after the ads she rejoined David Campbell and Sonia Kruger live on Channel Nine to discuss the attack on her sister Kim.

“We just had a bad connection,” Kourtney explained.

“Everyone was talking to me, but yeah, I mean, you know, she’s not doing great. I think we’re all really still shaken up and I just — you know, I think she has a big supportive family and I know that, like, all of the traumatic things that we’ve been through, you know, we get through them together as a family and that’s what family is all about.”

At the end of the second part of the interview, David thanked the star for coming back on the show to discuss the difficult topic.

“Sorry, everyone was talking to me,” Kourtney said again about the awkward moment from earlier, “It got a little crazy and then the connection went out.”

“You know what,” David said, “I understand you guys are the Kardashians. It’s hard to always preach and ask questions and there will be people protecting you. For you to come on and come back to us is a testament to you.”
