Karl Stefanovic puts Christopher ‘the fixer’ Pyne to the test
HE gave himself the title ‘The Fixer’ earlier this week and today, Karl Stefanovic put Christopher Pyne to the test with an impromptu car park challenge.
HE gave himself the title ‘The Fixer’ earlier this week and today Christopher Pyne had to prove he was worthy of the honour.
In one of the more amusing political interviews of the week, the education minister managed to make a chat about his higher education package entertaining by constantly referring to himself as a ‘fixer’ for managing to find $150 million funding to push his package through the senate.
“I fixed it, I fixed it,” he said to Sky news interviewer David Speers.
“I’m a fixer!”
Pyne has since laid claim to the title in parliament and during a segment on The Today Show this morning his fixing abilities were put to the test.
Host Karl Stefanovic led Mr Pyne, along with Anthony Albanese to the Channel Nine car park where newsreader Sylvia Jeffrey’s car was parked with a busted tyre.
“I think it was a little bit unreasonable that you were called Mr fix-it this week,” Karl said.
“I need you to put the tyre back on Sylvia’s car.”
Can @cpyne fix it?! @AlboMP #auspol #Today9 pic.twitter.com/HcZjEAP3I5

Jacket off, The Fixer got on with the job and managed to help get Jeffreys back on the road, only running into trouble once.
“Where are the nuts?” he asked while trying to fix the replacement wheel.
“That’s not the first time you’ve said that,” Albo quipped. Yep, really.
Pyne lived up to his title but he might have just created more work for himself.
Thanks @cpyne for changing my tyre this morning. Are you available to fix a leaky tap later today?
