WHEN Sunrise crossed live to Nelson Aspen in New York this morning, they weren’t expecting a bonus appearance from a seriously tanned Joe Hockey.

The Treasurer surprised Seven’s gossip guru by photo-bombing the set and chatting all things Hillary Clinton, Kevin Rudd ... oh, and his flawless skin.

Hockey wasn’t hooked up to a microphone so couldn’t hear what co-hosts David Koch and Natalie Barr were saying but threw some banter Kochie’s way, via Nelson’s mic.

“Don’t get jealous but I'm ringing the bell at the Stock Exchange in the next couple of days.”

Hockey was actually in the studio for a different broadcast, but couldn’t resist crashing the local brekkie show.
