Jesinta Campbell on preparing for her DJs catwalk debut: ‘I haven’t had any alcohol in nine weeks’

The 23-year-old undoubtedly stole the show with her washboard abs and perfect pins on display. She strutted her stuff in tiny swimsuits at the DJs spring/summer fashion show in Sydney and even her fiance, Sydney Swans star Buddy Franklin, who was sitting front row alongside other A-listers, couldn’t resist yelling out “You look beautiful!”

Campbell, who is also a regular commentator on Nine’s Today, opened up on the show this morning about how she prepped for one of Australia’s biggest fashion events.

“All the squats paid off but I’ve known for a long time now [that she was doing the show] and it was really hard to keep it a secret, but I haven’t had a champagne or any alcohol in nine weeks,” she admitted.

“I’m looking forward to having a champagne and a burger.”

The popular TV personality also revealed that she’s been training with boxing champion Lauryn Eagle.

“I just worked really hard. I actually just started boxing with Lauryn Eagle. So doing professional boxing training which was so much fun.”

Asked if she was nervous about walking down the catwalk in a bikini for the whole of Australia to see, the brunette beauty admitted: “So many nerves. Knowing Buddy was there and Karlos and you (Sylvia Jeffreys) and Dickie and Lisa, it was a little bit daunting but it was so much fun and it was just so great to be up there.”

Jeffreys asked Franklin, 28, about his fiancee’s super fit physique on the red carpet before Wednesday night’s show. “She does about 150 [sit-ups] at home by herself ... she does a fair bit,” he said. “Not me, I leave that to Jesinta.”

The AFL star added that he was “very proud” of his partner. “She’s done a lot of hard work to get here tonight and I’m very excited for her. It’s going to be a great night.”
